The Stretchy, Stiff & Sensitive Solution

For Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder,

Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos & Fibromyalgia

Strengthening the Stretchy,

Softening the Stiff,

Soothing the Sensitive.

Every Honey Rose Movement session

honors the body’s paradoxes:

joints that move too far, muscles that hold too tight,

nerves that feel too much.

Through fascia‑informed movement,

Vagus nerve-toning postures

and alignment-focused integration,

each HRMS session helps to:

Strengthen stretchiness by building stability,

soften stiffness with gentle movement,

and soothe sensitivity of the nervous system

with breath-led calming practices.

This triad becomes a living solution~

a sanctuary where science and ceremony meet,

and where we can find our own rhythm of resilience.

Honey Movement as Medicine

As a 'Zebra' fitness instructor with the comorbidities of

Fibromyalgia, IBS-C , POTS, ADHD, MCAS,

frequent migraines, chronic fatigue,

prolific bruising and joint subluxations,

have deep awareness of how these conditions

affect the entire body with pain and dysfunction.

Diagnosed years after beginning

my fitness instructing journey,

I know firsthand how unaware fitness programs

can cause pain, subluxations and dislocations,

and extreme fatigue.

The first thing physicians tell us about managing

our chronic pain conditions is to EXERCISE.

And we're left wondering, but what, and how?!

What kind of cruel joke is this?

It hurts and causes flares!

Trust me, sister~ I get it wholly and completely.

I understand how the unending pain we experience

makes it feel impossible to motivate movement.

But movement can be the medicine instead of the enemy,

when we listen differently.

It IS true~ the more we sit still and "rest",

the stiffer and less mobile our bodies become,

and the more pain takes root.

But our bodies respond to movement,

turning stickiness to softness, stagnation into flow.

Spiraling, undulating, circling, wave-like motions,

guided by breath and presence

can begin to unwind the pain and unglue the adhesions.

We already know we can’t rewrite

the faulty blueprint of our collagen—

but we can offer our body the support it needs

to live with more ease, more pleasure, and more joy.

I've spent innumerable hours weaving together

science and lived experience,

adapting my practice to my pain,

honoring my body and its unique needs,

and honing my skills to gently guide others to do the same.

Movement has been my medicine~

turning pain into power,

strengthening my muscles and protecting my joints,

deepening my spatial awareness,

soothing my nervous system and hyperactive mind,

and connecting me with the

intelligence of my body and the rhythm of my relief.

I call it "Honey Movement".

Fascia: Your Sacred Web

Honey Movement encompasses the

flowing, intentional movements of our sessions,

the sweetness of the relief we feel from those movements,

and the honey-like viscosity of our FASCIA,

*our foundational, predominant connective tissue*

that has deep effects on *everyone's* body,

but is especially compromised in the

hypermobile body due to our unusual collagen structure.

It is a ROOT cause of much of our pain

and many of our comorbidities.

Fascia is the missing link in

most education, exercise programs, and treatments.

Without honoring it, we risk pain flares, injuries,

and nervous system overwhelm.

Fascia is sacred armor~ resilient like Kevlar,

unaffected by pressure from the outside

and with millions more nerve endings

than anywhere else in the body

that respond to tightness, immobility,

stress and stagnation with pain.

That's why massage and foam rolling

may offer momentary relief,

but they don’t rewrite the story

and can damage us even more.

To truly shift fascia,

we must move from within.

Through spiral motions, sensual sway, somatic rhythm,

and stoking internal heat, we invite healing.

This is how pain becomes power.

This is Honey Movement.

Fascia is only part of the story~

optimal alignment helps fascia hold it all together.

The Universal Principles of Alignment

...another crucial missing link for those of us

managing hypermobility and Fibromyalgia

and even for those who aren't!

The foundation of every Honey Rose Mvmt session

is built upon Anusara yoga's

' Five Universal Principles of Alignment':

Open to Grace, Muscular Energy,

Inner and Outer Spiral, and Organic Energy.

By applying these principles,

we activate the optimal alignment to fully support

our physical body in every movement.

Together, the principles create the

 foundation for safe, empowering movement.

These principles help us to:

~stabilize our joints, creating safety in our body,

~improve posture & breath, calming our nervous system,

~and build a strong core to support

our tendons and ligaments,

pelvic floor and skeletal system.

As we strengthen our deep stabilizers and

practice these principles in session,

they begin oozing into daily life

as we move about our day.

Soon we notice that shooting ankle pain is gone~

that hip pain, that coathanger pain...

it's been a while since my hip subluxated!

It won't happen overnight but with consistent practice,

the chaos quiets, the pain recedes,

and the body finally learns how to flow with stability.

Empowering Pelvic Floor Health

Because of the lax, overly stretchy connective tissue

found in hypermobile Ehlers‑Danlos syndrome (hEDS)

and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD),

and the amplified pain sensitivity of Fibromyalgia (FMS),

the pelvic floor is often directly affected.

In hEDS, weakened collagen and fascia

reduce pelvic organ support, increasing risk of prolapse,

urinary leakage, and bowel dysfunction.

In FMS, central sensitization heightens pelvic pain,

bladder urgency, and bowel sensitivity,

often leading to muscle over‑tightening and fatigue.

Both conditions can contribute to sexual pain,

chronic pelvic tension, and reduced quality of life.

Step into the Sacred Sacral space

to explore fascia‑informed pelvic floor health,

and learn how the Honey Rose alignment principles

and trauma‑sensitive practices

restore strength, stability, and resilience.
